About TotalCare IT

Our president and founder, Aaron Zimmerman, established TotalCare IT in 2007 after dedicating over 20 years to corporate IT. Aaron was driven by a vision to support and protect Idaho business owners in a way that wasn’t being offered at the time. The idea of bringing fully managed IT to small businesses was relatively new and tremendously increased the productivity and profitability of our clients.

Over 17 years later, we still support and protect Idaho businesses, now specializing in the manufacturing and construction industries. We deliver a comprehensive service that includes an IT service desk, advanced cybersecurity, strategic technology planning, and virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) services to ensure your IT infrastructure aligns with production goals. We also educate our clients on cyber safety and data compliance regulations to keep them informed and secure.

We also work with mid-market manufacturers that have an in-house IT team. This service is called Co-Managed IT because we supplement the teams of these clients with whatever service gaps they are experiencing. Whether that's us tackling IT projects and cybersecurity, or taking over helpdesk responsibilities, we can fit our service in wherever it makes sense for these larger companies.

We have staff in Idaho Falls, Boise, and remote locations, as well as an internship program with the College of Eastern Idaho. We are all animal lovers and for your viewing pleasure, you can see our pets below.

Our Team

Aaron TotalCare IT
Aaron Zimmerman
PRESIDENT & CEO

Aaron has been in the IT industry for over 30 years. After years in the corporate world, he founded TotalCare IT in 2007. He’s passionate about helping businesses grow through the right mix of technology, people, and process.

He’s married with three adult kids, and while he technically has “free time,” it’s usually just a different kind of busy.

He also spends a lot of time on the move—traveling between East Idaho, West Idaho, Northern California, and various conferences—so his office is often wherever he happens to land that day. At this point, airports and hotel Wi-Fi are basically part of his job description.

When he does slow down, Aaron enjoys reading, gardening, listening to health podcasts, or planning his next trip (usually while already on one). He’s also a dedicated sci-fi fan—so whether it’s books, movies, or big “what if” conversations about the future, he’s all in. Honestly, running an IT company and being into sci-fi kind of checks out.

Nick (1)
Nick Burrows
Interim Operations Manager

Nick oversees all things security and compliance, making sure both our internal systems and our clients are locked down and running the way they should. He’s also one of our senior cloud infrastructure engineers—so if it lives in the cloud or needs to be secure, there’s a good chance Nick’s already handled it (or is currently improving it).

He lives with his wife, toddlers, and dog—which means life outside of work is busy, loud, and never boring.

When he’s not at a keyboard, Nick usually has something in his hands—whether it’s a book (he’s part of a local library reading club), a Rubik’s cube, or a deck of cards. He’s also a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so there’s a good chance he’s either watching a movie, rewatching a movie, or debating timelines like it’s a second job.

And if he looks “off the clock,” don’t be fooled—he’s probably studying for another certification. At this point, collecting certifications might actually be his side hobby…or his main one.

Chelsea TotalCare IT
Chelsea Kitchev
Marketing Manager

Chelsea is our go-to for all things digital marketing. She has a knack for digging into the details, making sense of the noise, and turning it into clear, useful information. If it needs to be researched, simplified, and actually made interesting…that’s her lane.

She’s an Army veteran, married, and proudly runs a two-cat household (the cats just let her live there). Her two special needs tabbies are spoiled beyond reason and fully aware of it.

When she’s not working, Chelsea is usually gaming, deep into a board game strategy, planning her next trip, or going down a rabbit hole of conspiracy theories—purely for “research,” of course. She’s also a big fan of thrillers, whether she’s watching them or accidentally convincing herself they might be real.

She’s also proud to work alongside her dad, Aaron—which means marketing discussions can happen pretty much anytime, anywhere.

Ashley, TotalCare IT
Ashley Wheeler
Executive Assistant

Ashley helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, supporting day-to-day operations and jumping in wherever she’s needed. Basically, if something needs to get done, she’s already halfway through it.

She lives in Southeast Idaho with her husband and their three kids, and life is—politely put—nonstop. Between sports schedules, school chaos, and two large dogs who seem to think they’re also children, her calendar is less of a planner and more of a survival guide.

When they do find a moment to breathe, their family loves being outdoors—camping, fly fishing, and bow hunting—and they own Back Cast Fly Co. in Rexburg.

In her very limited free time, Ashley enjoys reading, true crime (because apparently her life isn’t chaotic enough), and making homemade bread and butter. She’s also proud to work alongside her dad, Aaron—which means she never really clocks out, but wouldn’t have it any other way.

Zac
Zac Guo
Systems Engineer

Zac has over 15 years of experience in IT management, along with a Master’s in Cybersecurity and an MBA in IT Management—so yes, he’s both highly technical and understands the business side of things (a rare and dangerous combo). He’s also a Certified Ethical Hacker Master and a Cisco Certified Network Professional.

When it comes to food, Zac has very strong opinions—and they all point in one direction: protein. After a health crisis in 2023, he fully committed to a keto lifestyle and hasn’t looked back. Calling him a “meat lover” is probably an understatement…he’s more of a protein enthusiast with a mission.

He genuinely loves to cook and experiment in the kitchen, but don’t expect a lot of carbs to make an appearance. His go-to favorite? Scrambled eggs with lamb slices—simple, effective, and very on brand. As Zac puts it: “The best category of food is protein.” And honestly, he’s not taking feedback on that.

Ralph, TotalCare IT
Ralph Paras
Service Desk Coordinator

Ralph is the engine behind the Service Desk, making sure everything runs smoothly and nothing falls through the cracks. He coordinates support efforts, keeps tickets moving, and helps ensure clients are taken care of without things getting stuck in IT limbo.

Outside of work, Ralph is all about recharging. You’ll usually find him gaming, because sometimes the best way to deal with real-world problems is…more problems, just with better graphics. He also enjoys catching beach sunsets whenever he can, which is his way of balancing out the fast-paced world of IT with something a little more peaceful.

At home, Ralph is kept on his toes by his two dogs—a Golden Retriever and a Shih Tzu—who have very different personalities but somehow manage to team up when it comes to chaos. Between the two of them, there’s always something going on, which fits perfectly with Ralph’s ability to handle a little bit of everything at once.

Nico, TotalCare IT
Nico Queliza
Service Desk Engineer

Nico is part of our Service Desk team at TotalCare IT, where he helps turn “this makes no sense” moments into “oh, that was actually easy.” He enjoys solving problems, explaining things in a way that actually clicks, and making technology feel a lot less intimidating (which, let’s be honest, is a gift).

Outside of work, Nico is a full-on audiophile—he doesn’t just listen to music, he experiences it. When he’s not dialing in sound quality, you’ll find him watching documentaries, staying consistent at the gym, or going down learning rabbit holes—usually around medical science, human physiology, or psychology.

He’s big on the idea that great support isn’t just about fixing things—it’s about patience, clear communication, and genuinely wanting to help. Basically, he’s the kind of person you want on the other end of a support ticket.

Ferdy-2
Ferdie Miraflor
Service Desk Engineer

Ferdinand—better known as “Ferdie”—has had quite the adventure in IT, including recently working in Dubai for a futuristic tech company (so yes, he’s probably seen some things the rest of us haven’t yet). He brings that global experience and curiosity into everything he does, especially when it comes to technology and networking.

Ferdie is happily married and loves spending time with his wife—whether that’s traveling to new places, checking out cozy coffee spots, or just finding a good excuse to get out and explore. Their shared love of coffee alone could probably qualify as a hobby at this point. We all live vicariously through the vacation photos he posts in Slack.

When they’re not on the go, they enjoy heading to the beach to relax and recharge. And when Ferdie is staying in, he’s usually doing what most people would consider “work”…but for him it’s fun—studying technology, especially networking. Some people unwind with TV—Ferdie unwinds by learning how the internet actually works.

Rex, TotalCare IT
Rex Aragon
Service Desk Engineer

Rex is one of our friendly Service Desk engineers—the guy you’ll likely end up talking to when something isn’t working and you just need it fixed now. He’s great at troubleshooting, keeping things calm, and walking you through solutions without making it feel complicated (or making you feel like you broke something…even if you did).

He’s the kind of person who enjoys figuring things out and getting things back on track quickly, all while keeping the experience easy and stress-free on your end.

Outside of work, Rex is all about basketball—whether he’s playing in real life or running the court in NBA 2K. Either way, he’s competitive, locked in, and probably convinced he should’ve gone pro.

Chris, TotalCare IT
Chris Gibbons
Technical Alignment Engineer

Chris got his start at TotalCare IT as an intern while going through the cybersecurity program at CEI—and clearly made a strong enough impression that we didn’t let him leave. After graduating, he joined the team full-time and has since grown into a Technical Alignment Engineer, helping ensure our clients’ environments are secure, standardized, and aligned with best practices.

In his role, Chris focuses on proactively assessing and improving client systems—identifying gaps, recommending strategic upgrades, and helping bring environments up to our standards. From cybersecurity alignment to infrastructure optimization, he plays a key role in making sure everything is not just working, but working the right way.

Outside of work, Chris likes spending time outdoors and hanging out with friends, family, and his dogs. When he’s inside, you’ll likely find him gaming, playing Magic: The Gathering, or tinkering with computer programs and hardware just for fun—because for Chris, “relaxing” and “tech projects” tend to be the same thing.

Cody-N
Cody N.
Centralized Services Engineer

Cody is the guy working behind the scenes making everything actually work better. Instead of focusing on individual tickets or one-off projects, he’s responsible for maintaining and improving the core systems, tools, and automation that support all of our clients. His focus is on building solutions that are standardized, scalable, and proactive—so problems get prevented before anyone even notices them.

Basically, if something feels smoother, faster, or more automated than it used to be…Cody probably had something to do with it.

Unsurprisingly, his hobbies are also very tech-heavy. He enjoys building computers and diving into the overlap between hardware and software—because for Cody, there’s always a better way to optimize something. Are you seeing a theme here yet with tech people?

And when he’s not deep in systems and automation, he’s spending time with his girlfriend and dog, who are the most important parts of Cody’s day.

Blake
Blake Buchanan
Field Technician

Blake is one of our Boise area field technicians. He recently graduated from the College of Western Idaho with an AAS in Cloud, Security, and System Administration and is already continuing his education at Boise State University, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Cyber Operations and Resilience—so yeah, he’s not slowing down anytime soon.

He’s passionate about all things tech, especially cloud, infrastructure, and security, and is the kind of person who’s always learning something new (whether he technically needs to or not).

When he’s not studying or working, Blake takes full advantage of Idaho life—spending time outdoors camping, fishing, and getting out whenever he can. He also enjoys hanging out with friends and family, and keeping up with his golden retriever, Baker—who probably sets the pace and keeps things interesting.

Santiago, TotalCare IT
Santiago Martinez
Field Technician

Santiago is one of our East Idaho Field Technicians—the guy out in the real world making sure everything works the way it’s supposed to. Whether he’s onsite solving issues or helping get systems up and running, he brings a hands-on approach and gets things done right.

Outside of work, Santiago likes to stay active and balanced. You’ll find him weightlifting at the gym, spending time with the people he cares about, or checking out new places to eat (always a solid priority).

He’s also big on learning and growing in the tech space. At home, he runs his own lab where he experiments, tinkers, and digs into how things actually work behind the scenes—because for Santiago, it’s not enough to just fix something…he wants to understand it.
